News Items – Racing, Showing, Meeting

Lots of stuff going on.
- The Next Meeting is Thursday March 7th at 7pm at The Boardwalk Inn.
- The Club plans on going to Zarpentine Farm Market’s Annual Pancake Breakfast at 8:00am on March 16th.
- Rumors are circulating that the Brockport Airport may one day turn into a race track.
- Now is the time to square away show details. Our own show and participating in other club shows.
- Summer Racing may move from Wednesday to Friday.

Hopefully we will have some answers and new questions at this weeks Club Meeting!

Greetings Members!
The Members page should be about you folks! Ideally a photo of each member and their vehicle should be entered. The reason you guys go to site is to see the cars right???? A few words about the history, fixes or modification to the car might be in order too. Don’t limit yourself to just words and pictures. Moving pictures is where it’s at. And maybe one day they will have sound and be in color.

Making Updates

Greeting Club Members!
As the webmaster I apologize for my lack of attention. I want to fix this, so I will be dedicating minimally 30 minutes every Tuesday night at 8:30pm to work on and update the site.
Things I think should be done include:
- Listing of members with their pic and their car(s).. minimally their car(s)
- Tweaking site organization
- Enabling other members to create posts
- Prepping your content for display – restoration updates, product updates, deals with vendors, recommendations on tools/vendors/skills/how-to’s
- Your suggestions

Again I apologize for my lack of effort. I’m hoping to be able to pull the site up at the Feb 7th meeting if I can make it, so we can do some updating right then and there!

Christmas Party Menu

As you all know by now, our Christmas Party is going to be held at the Boardwalk Inn, in Brockport, on Sunday, January 6, 2013, starting at 7:00 pm.

Listed below are the pre-selected full dinner entrees from their menu. By selecting several items prior to our gathering, our group should be able to make the event run a little smoother for the food preparation.

1. Southwest Chicken: Southwest seasoned grilled chicken breast topped with monterey jack and cheddar cheese. Topped with diced tomato and scallions. Served with house salad and choice of one side.

2. Chicken French: Tender chicken breast battered and finished in a sherry, lemon butter sauce. Served with pasta and house salad.

3. Boardwalk Signature Steak: Grilled 8 oz. Flat Iron Steak. Served with house salad and choice of one side.

4. Eggplant Parmesan: Breaded eggplant fried and topped with melted mozzarella and marinara sauce. Served with pasta and house salad.

5. Barbeque Shrimp Skewers: 3 grilled shrimp skewers topped with Uncle Ralphs Magic Sauce. Served with coleslaw and choice of one side.

Sides include: Baked Beans, Corn, Vegetable Medley, Coleslaw, Rice, Fries, Sweet Potato Fries, Tater Tot, Baked Potato.

The cost is going to be $15.00 per couple or $7.50 per person. The club will be picking up the balance, including the tax and gratuity.

If you are planning on joining us for the evening, and have decided on which entree/entrees you would like to order, please respond with this information to joebropst at juno.com by December 29, 2012, and we will tabulate and forward this information to the people at the Boardwalk Inn to insure the food supply is adequate for a group of this size.

In addition to our meal, we will be having our monthly meeting, gift exchange, and the opportunity to pay next years membership dues. Attached to this email, is a copy of our membership form. We really need to update our club roster and each of us needs to submit a new information form. Please bring the completed form to this meeting to turn in. We will try to have a few blank ones available.

The location of the Boardwalk Inn, in Brockport, is right behind Roccos. The address is 48 Merchant Street. Phone # is 585-391-3712, in case you get lost.

Rochester MOPARs Holiday Party

The Boardwalk Inn, hosts Rochester Mopar’s winter meetings.

At the regular monthly club meeting on December 6, 2012, we decided to have our annual Christmas Party at the Boardwalk Inn, on Sunday, January 6, 2013 with the festivities beginning around 7:00 pm.

The plan is to pre-select 5 or 6 items from the main menu and each of us can choose one of these food items for our meal. With a group of around 30 people, this makes it a little easier for the food preparation at this busy time of the year. As mentioned before, the club plans to pay 50% of the cost of the meals. Further information about food selections and cost will be forthcoming in the near future.

We will also have our regular January meeting during the evening, along with the traditional gift exchange. If you wish to participate in the gift exchange, bring a wrapped gift that costs around $10.00 to share – always a good time.

It is also that time of year to renew our club memberships. Many of us do this at the Christmas Party. This year we are planning on having each member fill out and submit an updated information sheet about themselves – (name, spouse, cars, etc.) – we need to update our membership roster – forms will be available prior to the meeting, we hope.

Therefore, Save the Date: January 6, 2013, and we will see you at the Boardwalk Inn, in Brockport.
